Driver Agreement
Effective upon application. Last updated: 2026-01-01
1. Status
You operate as an independent contractor (zzp'er) — not an employee of SamiGo Taxi. You are responsible for your own taxes (BTW & income tax), insurance, vehicle maintenance, and Dutch BV/eenmanszaak registration.
2. Eligibility requirements
- Valid Dutch driving licence (B), held for at least 3 years
- Valid chauffeurskaart issued by Kiwa
- Vehicle registered for taxi use, with valid APK
- Commercial passenger transport insurance
- No serious driving offences in the last 5 years
- Good command of Dutch and English
3. Commission and earnings
SamiGo retains a commission of 20% of each completed ride. You receive 80%. Surcharges (airport, night, weekend) are included in the calculation. The split percentage may change with 30 days notice.
4. Payouts
Earnings are paid weekly (Monday) to your IBAN. Minimum payout is €50. Below this threshold, earnings roll over to the next week.
5. Service standards
- Arrive at pickup within ±5 minutes of the scheduled time
- Maintain a clean, well-presented vehicle
- Treat passengers with respect — no smoking, eating, or loud music
- Take the optimal route unless the passenger requests otherwise
- Help with luggage when needed
6. Cancellations by driver
If you cancel a confirmed booking less than 30 minutes before pickup, a penalty of €5 is deducted from your next payout. Repeated cancellations may result in suspension.
7. Ratings and reviews
Passengers may rate you after each ride. Maintaining a minimum 4.0/5.0 average is required. Below this average, you may be asked to take a refresher training or leave the platform.
8. Document expiry
You must update your driving licence, chauffeurskaart, insurance and APK on time. We will warn you 30/14/7 days before expiry. After expiry, your account is automatically suspended until proof of renewal is uploaded.
9. Termination
Either party may end this agreement with 7 days notice for any reason. We may suspend your account immediately for serious breaches (fraud, safety, harassment, discrimination).
10. Data and privacy
We process your personal data according to our Privacy Policy. Documents you upload are stored securely and only viewable by approved admins.
11. Disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes are first attempted via internal mediation, then via the courts of Gelderland.
12. Acceptance
Submitting your application via /drivers/apply counts as digital acceptance of these terms. A signed PDF copy will be issued upon approval.
Important: This is a starter agreement. Before onboarding external drivers commercially, have a Dutch employment / freelance lawyer review the wording to ensure compliance with the Wet DBA and Wet personenvervoer 2000.
